The Paleolithic diet, usually referred to as the Paleo diet for short, or also known as the caveman diet, stone age diet or hunter-gatherer diet, is based on the assumption that human beings should be eating foods that resemble what our ancient ancestors ate, because that is the way we are genetically wired to eat.
